The Sands Of Time

When Maton's exceptionally talented Custom Shop Luthier, Andy Allen set out to expand our model selection, who would have thought that a timeless piece, "The Sands of Time" would be a result of the countless hours of dedication and attention to detail.

Only six of these have been finely crafted by hand with the Rosette and Outer binding made using twelve hundred year old river Red gum. The Soundboard & bracing is made from Engelmann Spruce. The bracing has been weighed and strength tested, giving it Maton's high standard of functionality and durability.

Maton's selection of superior inventory during the creation process is a self priding factor; this is extremely evident in the "The Sands of Time". Old Growth Honduran Mahogany is used for the neck and Select Indian Rosewood for the back & sides.

Roman numeral fingerboard inlays give these guitars an old world charm from times gone by and definitely demonstrate Maton's culmination of experience and talent in one unique Custom Shop model.

For a potential owner, “The Sands of Time” guitar will be an absolute delight to play. Not only will it sound remarkable but it will be easy on the eye.

“There is no more I could possibly do to these guitars to get any more sound out of them. I am satisfied I have the formula right.” Andy Allen
