The performer inherited the original 808 shape with a slightly thinner body and soft cutaway. Its Bunya soundboard provides the volume and punch to more than compensate for a smaller body, ensuring comfort and playability are the keys to this purpose built series. With built-in AP5 PRO electronics, you can easily amplify your sound without sacrificing tonal quality, ensuring you’re always performance-ready. Solid Bunya top, solid Queensland Maple back-and-sides, and Maton’s newest bracing system results is a punchy and full-sounding guitar that is unbeatable for the money.
The backs have been radiused to help create a greater tonal spectrum with focus on classic Maton earthy tones resulting in more bottom end response. The Necks have been upgraded to solid Blackwood timber and in keeping with the “Australian” theme, now have a Desert Acacia (Mulga) fingerboard and Bridge. Finally the Australian series now comes with the perfectly refined Maton UV cured paint finish – a finer coat for a finer tone.
