The Performer
It takes Maton’s original 808 shape, slims the body and adds a soft cutaway — a guitar that stays comfortable across a long set and puts the upper frets within easy reach. A solid Bunya soundboard gives it volume and punch well beyond what its size suggests, while solid Queensland Maple back and sides keep the voice bright, focused and clear in a mix. Scalloped Maton X bracing lets the top move freely, so it answers a light fingerstyle touch and stands up to hard strumming without losing definition. The AP5 PRO pickup system carries that sound to the front of house intact, so what the room hears is still the guitar. Bone nut and saddle, chrome Grover Rotomatics, supplied in a Standard Maton Hard Case.
