If you’ve ever seen Tommy Emmanuel perform, you’ll know he’s one of the world’s greatest guitarists, and one of the most inspirational musicians on the planet.

It takes a great guitar to meet the demands of such a great player. Designed in conjunction with guitar great Tommy Emmanuel, the TE series is an outstanding tribute to Tommy’s musicianship and Maton’s superior craftsmanship. This guitar was built in our factory to the EBG808TE specification, giving it the huge tone and performance you’d expect from a guitar built to Tommy’s own requirements – a neck that stays true, and a voice capable of the most delicate expression through to the most ferocious attack.

This one-off commission was built to EBG808TE specification and given a Teardrop Sunburst finish. Maton’s rigorous quality checks identified some small cosmetic blemishes and as a result is being offered as a B stock instrument via Maton Workshop Direct. Its striking darker finish is complemented with a streaky ebony fingerboard and bridge in place of the usual Indian rosewood, and a Maton inlay at the 12th fret.

The guitar comes complete with a standard Maton case, 80th anniversary strap and Maton capo. Shipping Australia wide is included. If you’d prefer to collect it in person from the workshop in Box Hill, we’ll include a factory tour and commemorative book “The Music that Maton Made”.
