As a singer-songwriter he released his third rock album “Home” mixed by Bruce Springsteen and Rolling Stones legendary sound engineer Bob Clearmountain. The album also features the original lead singers of the band Chic, Norma Jean Wright and Luci Martin, with whom alberto toured many times.

In January 2020 Lombardi played his first solo USA tour, after acquiring the prestigious O-1 visa, granted by the US government to people with extraordinary ability.

He also played major festivals in Europe and USA like All Star Guitar Night (USA), International Guitar Night. (23 shows touring Germany, 2018) Wooden Hall (California), Argenta (Arkansas), Chet Atkins Appreciation Society (Tennessee) and Italian Guitar Festivals like Sarzana, Cremona, Madame Guitar, Ferentino.

As a teacher Alberto has released four instructional videos with Stefan Grossman’s “guitar videos” label, teaching some of his most popular arrangements and some creative guitar techniques.

He also released two praised acoustic guitar albums, "The fermi Paradox" and "Birds" , for Stefan Grossman and Peter Finger's labels that have received many great reviews from renowned magazines such as Acoustic Guitar, Fingerstyle Journal, Vintage guitar, Minor 7th, Chitarra acustica. A third album titled “through the years” is due in fall ’22.

His captivating solo acoustic performances are comprised of both original compositions and elaborate arrangements of great classics from the Italian and international tradition.

His guitar style is very personal, derived from the diverse musical experiences Alberto has in rock, pop and jazz as a session player and record producer. Incorporating fingerpicking, flatpicking, some looping, improvisation and singing, Alberto can transform a single guitar into an orchestra, sing and solo on top of it with an electric guitar sound.. on the acoustic! Repertoire is ranging from Italian classics like Volare and Roma nun Fa la stupida stasera to The Beatles and Sting, from Stevie Wonder and Motown music to jazz classics like All of me and Cantaloupe Island. His own compositions for solo guitar and full blown rock songs complete the picture of a unique live experience.

Alberto’s voice has been often compared to Sting’s for sound and agility, and his songs have been praised by the likes of Nile Rodgers (Guitarist and producer for Madonna, Duran Duran and Bowie to name a few) who said, after listening to the album “Home”: “the record is killing, such great musicianship!”

As a sideman Alberto has rocked stages as big as Italian Stadiums like Olimpico and San Siro, or the Pavillao Atlantico in Lisboa. In his 25 years career, he's worked with major Italian acts both as a session player and record producer/arranger/mixer.

He runs his recording studio called "Belairstudio" in Rome, Italy.
